Lord -
give us a sense of wonder
for the beauty of this earth.
Open our eyes to its glory,
for you, Lord, gave it birth.
Give us sense of wonder like that of a little child,
who only sees the glory -
not that which is defiled -
whose ears are open to each new sound -
whose eyes are open wide -
whose innocence and wonder
comes from deep inside -
who laughs with glee when
autumn leaves
Come tumbling to the ground -
whose joy and sheer enthusiasm
seems to know no bounds.
Lord -
give us a sense of wonder
at your majesty and power -
as we see the wonder of your
love portrayed
in every tree and flower.
