Miniature Dahlia 800
Taken at Canberra Cockington Gardens in July 2008 on invitation by Lucy Gulle
Appearance:
Dahlias have attractive foliage, with deep green to bright green lobed leaves, hollow stems, and bold flowerheads that vary greatly. Flowers of Dahlia species can be large and showy but are never as fancy as those of the various garden forms, which occur in a huge range of styles and colors. Dahlias are classified into 10 groups based on the size and type of flowerheadranging from tiny pompon to large giant-flowered cactus types.
