Birthday Flower for Meghan

Photobucket

Meghan is a Canadian Dental Intern at Westmead Dental Hospital. In gratitude to her kindness and cheerful assistance to Ramesh, and for her warm friendship, I brought her a little surprise packed in a birthday gift bag and decorated it with red Azalea coming from the side wall garden of my unit. She is also celebrating her Leo natal sign this coming Saturday, 22nd of August.

Cheers!

Purple Vines

Growing over the fence of Westmead Railway Station. The elongated leaves look like that of
another specie of Eucalyptus.

Nature has been for me, for as long as I remember, a source of solace, inspiration, adventure, and delight; a home, a teacher, a companion.

It is with pleasure to share with you some flowers produced from the garden of our compound where I currently live. And today, Monday the 17th, is my birthday. What a better way to spend it in a very special way!

This Pink Rose was planted and maintained by our fellow resident, Nancy.

Fragrant White Gardenia. At home, we call it Rosal. Its strong scent wafts day and night throughout our tiny village, as what I call our place by name.

Photobucket
Red Azalea undried from the fresh morning shower. It's growing along my wall side through the passage.

Photobucket
Pink Camilla with raindrops came sliding down its petals from the fresh morning shower.

To be a sweet as a Red, red Rose ... a little girl like me just grow and grow and grow.

Photobucket
White Agapanthus... kind of bulbs ...easy to plant and then forget till they bloom.

Tangerine Easter Cactus 800

Photobucket

A sparkling velvety floral satin. It's Easter Cactus in Australia.

Photobucket

My source of pride and joy. This would be my signature flower Red Thumb! The origin of this plant was from my friend Olivia.
As her family was moving into a new house, she asked me to help her with the packing. It was a huge job to do but I found great
delight in helping her. We help each other when it is needed. So it's nice to have someone around whom you can turn to now and then.

Photobucket

She gave me one pot of this flower and it just took off there. When my girls were gone, I could not bring everything with me, so this
plant along with others had found new homes and I hope the new owners tend to them just like I do.

My plants are happy with me and they do grow very healthy. You can tell it by the way they grow and multiply. They proliferate
faster than human beings do. Now I have started to grow one, I think, this time, it's purplish red. Let's wait and see. In no time, they too will be in their blooming spree.
